Today I have had no less than 4 psychic experiences. the 1st two involved my girlfriend Meabh. the first was so odd, that there was nothing else it could be but a psyhic experience. What happened was I was getting ready to leave the house and go and meet her. she was in a workshop led by Boston based performance artist Marilyn Arsem. As I was about to leave the house I saw a tampon and thought “I’d better take that, Meabh will need it”. I found my thought totally bizarre, but took it anyway. As I went to leave I put it back thinking it was just too bizarre a thought.
I also took a camera as I thought Meabh might want it. When I got to the bus stop I got two text messages on my mobile phone from Meabh, the first asking for a tampon, the second asking for me to bring the camera. I couldn’t believe it! I had the camera but not the tampon, if only I’d trusted my compulsion. Crazy!
Anyway, I got a bus and went off to meet Meabh. Luke was with me. We were going to experience the final performance that the group undertaking the workshop were going to make. when we got to the workshop we sat around in a circle with the group. I said hello to everyone I knew and then when everyone was ready Marilyn explained a little bit about the workshops. The key point was that we weren’t going to watch performances, rather we were each going to be given an individual set of written instructions, which by following them would enable us to have a private experience. Each set of instructions was designed by an individual undertaking the workshop. Marilyn placed a box in the middle of the room and asked us to randomly select a piece of paper. I had been wondering all day what Meabh was going to be doing in her performance. I put my hand in and drew out a piece of paper. I opened it out and read it. I recognised the location described in the text and realized that I was reading Meabh’s score. I couldn’t believe it. It was my third weird psychic experience in less than an hour.
I was curious what was causing these things. I wonder if it is a bit like re-tunning your brain? The problem is that when you’re tunned in it’s a bit hard to tune out. I can’t remember my fourth psychic experience today, but I remember counting four with Meabh earlier. If I manage to remember the fourth experience I’ll post it up.
